Michael owns Show Biz America, a company he founded in 1980. Show Biz America is recognized for its full-range of services for trade shows including providing union labor, cleaning, supervision, and equipment. His deep understanding of labor regulations and union interactions comes from over 40 years of personal experience, allowing him to select and manage the best possible staff for each event, particularly at trade show venues like McCormick Place and Navy Pier, as well as various hotel trade shows in the Chicago land area.

At Show Biz America, Michael provides payroll services and regulatory advice to general contractors, further showcasing his versatility and dedication to supporting all aspects of trade show operations. His expertise also extends to managing significant events such as the Chicago Flower & Garden Show, where he has been instrumental in contract negotiation, strategic planning, and labor management since 2013.

Michael’s career began with a foundational role at the Teamsters / Local Chief Steward and Business Agent, where he developed his skills in managing union jurisdictions and stewarding large-scale trade shows and theatrical productions in the Chicagoland area.
